Child Safety Standards

Ghumify prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation in every form. Although Ghumify accounts are restricted to people aged 18 or over, child-safety standards apply throughout the platform.

Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation

If a child is in immediate danger, contact the relevant police, emergency or child-protection authority first. Ghumify is not an emergency-dispatch service.

These standards apply to every part of Ghumify, including profiles, posts, stories, comments, direct messages, group messages, trips, events and place submissions.

Prohibited conduct

Ghumify prohibits:

  • child sexual abuse material
  • sexualized depictions of children
  • synthetic or AI-generated CSAM
  • grooming
  • sextortion
  • child trafficking
  • sexual exploitation
  • soliciting sexual material from a child
  • arranging sexual contact with a child
  • sexual extortion involving a child
  • encouraging a child to participate in sexual conduct
  • facilitating any of these activities through external links or services

CSAM

Users must never create, upload, request, share, distribute or store CSAM through Ghumify.

If Ghumify obtains actual knowledge of CSAM on the service, we take appropriate action consistent with our policies and applicable law, including removing or restricting access to the material.

Reports

Child-safety concerns can be reported using the in-app reporting system. Where available, select Report, then Child Safety.

You may also write to contact@ghumify.com with the subject Child Safety. Include enough information to identify the account or content.

Do not send suspected CSAM

Do not download, copy, attach, forward or redistribute suspected CSAM in order to report it.

Provide the account or content identifier or location instead.

Immediate danger

If a child is in immediate danger, contact the relevant police, emergency or child-protection authority.

Ghumify is not an emergency-dispatch service. Submitting an in-app report does not automatically contact police or rescue services.

What Ghumify does

When a credible child-safety report is received, Ghumify may:

  • restrict access to relevant content
  • preserve necessary identifiers or evidence securely
  • escalate to the designated safety team
  • remove prohibited content
  • restrict or suspend accounts
  • permanently remove responsible accounts after appropriate review
  • report confirmed or legally reportable matters to the relevant authority where required

Access to suspected illegal material is restricted to personnel who need it for the relevant response.

Reporting to authorities

Ghumify maintains a process for responding to confirmed CSAM and other child-exploitation matters under applicable law.

Where legally required, Ghumify will report qualifying matters to the appropriate law-enforcement, child-protection or other regional authority.

Underage accounts

People under 18 cannot use Ghumify accounts.

If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18:

  • ordinary social access may be suspended promptly
  • unnecessary processing is stopped
  • the account holder may request correction if the age determination is mistaken
  • otherwise the account is processed for deletion

Narrow evidence may be retained where legally required for child protection, investigation or other lawful purposes.

Ordinary photographs involving minors

The existence of a child in an ordinary, lawful travel photograph does not by itself constitute prohibited content.

However, users must respect the child’s safety, privacy and applicable permissions.

Never post:

  • sexualized content involving a minor
  • the child’s sensitive contact details
  • exploitative imagery
  • private location
  • content that places a child at serious risk

Grooming and off-platform conduct

Ghumify prohibits attempts to use the platform to move a child toward sexual exploitation on another service or in person.

The fact that a proposed interaction occurs outside Ghumify does not make grooming through Ghumify acceptable.

Human review

Permanent enforcement relating to child exploitation receives appropriate human review.

Automation may assist detection or safety workflows but is not treated as the sole final basis for permanent enforcement.

Privacy of reporters and victims

Ghumify does not ordinarily identify a reporter to the reported user.

Information is shared only where reasonably necessary or legally required. We seek to minimize unnecessary disclosure involving victims or potential victims.
